Coach Aaaron had the troops ready, but a series of unfortunate events doomed them and Tampa moves to 4-0.
Chicago got ball 1st and drove, soon they faced 4th and 10 at the Tampa 45. They went deep up the middle....the FS is there...but Tampa's Safety misplayed the angle and the Bears got a huge TD and a 7-0 lead.
Tampa then got it and needed a few Gradkowski scrambles to get moving, and they tied it 7-7.
Chicago then drove again...nobody had scored twice in a row vs Tampa all season...Chicago faced 4th and 10 at the 35...again they go deep, and this time the Deep Slant is open for another HUGE 4th down TD, 14-7 Bears!
Tampa then gets it and sacks on 2nd and 3rd made it 4th and 20. Gradkowski tried to go deep but overthrew it by 20 yards.
Bears 14-7 and they had ball at the Tampa 40...for the first time all year Coach John faced a 2-score deficit.
But then the tables turned. First, on 2nd down, the Bears tried to throw to the right flat, but the LB jumped the pass and INTd return for a TD! 14-14.
No big deal, Bears get the ball back with 1 min till half.
Bears at the 50 with 20 seconds to go...they throw over the middle, its caught for a split second, but then the defender does "the club" to knock the ball flying back 20 yards into a crowd of 10 guys...and somehow a Tampa DL INTS IT!! THEN HE FUMBLES FORWARD INTO ANOTHER CROWD...RECOVERED BY A TAMPA DB...HE BREAKS FREE FROM THE PACK...GOES TO THE SIDELINE...AND HE COULD...GO..ALL..THE..WAY UNBELIEVEABLE
TAMPA 21-14 AT HALF. The Bears dominated for 9 minutes only to see their lead evaporate in 2 plays.
In the 2nd half the shock never wore off. Tampa had a lengthy 4 minute drive to open the 3rd and kicked a FG to lead 24-14. Coach Aaron finally got the offense moving but he also had to kick a FG 24-17, 4 min left.
Tampa drives to the Bears 30 and they go deep to the right...however Coach Aaron couldnt figure out which defender he was controlling and he didnt get a chance to play a poorly thrown ball, the WR got there easily for a td. 31-17.
Frustrated by Tampa's switch to the Nickel D and his bad breaks, the Bears tried to get it to their RB but it was triple covered and INtd return for another defensive TD, 38-17.
The Bears missed on a 4th and Tampa scored 1 last td.
Tampa 45 Bears 17 final.
BTW Jeff, you need to fix Chicago. When they wear their blue unis aaron cant see who hes using in his endzone...cuz the cursor is also blue and the endzone is blue.
tough loss for the Bears..they played well early
