Pless and co were predicted to finish in last place, and highly touted Baltimore with their super combo of QB and RB were supposed to be unstoppable.
However, the Eskimos defense held tough for an early 17-7 lead. Baltimore drove to the 5 yd line but was held to a FG to end the half, 17-10.
Edmonton would score to lead 24-10, but Baltimore wasnt done. A Td cut the lead to 24-17, and then Edm had to punt. Baltimore, however missed on 3rd down and Edm got it back. On 2nd they hit a 50 yd pass, then a 15 yd pass, and 2 runs that went nowhere set up a FG, good! 27-17.
Baltimore drove to the 3 and was stuffed on 2 runs. They kicked the FG to make it 27-20. Edm then had to punt after a crucial dropped pass. Baltimore would drive to the 20 and have 1 last play, but they only threw a 5 yd pass and time expired.

Good start for the Eskimos, after getting whipped up last season.
