Kansas and Miami fought hard, and Kansas played tough defense, and built a 10-7 lead. Miami missed 2 medium range fg's in the 1st half. Miami forced the ball deep, and a Kansas interception hurt Miami in the 2nd half. Kansas built a 17-7 lead, and Miami could not do anything on offense. Late in game, Kansas drives deep inside Miami territory in the final 2 minutes. Finally at about 1:15, Kansas runs in a touchdown on 2nd and goal from the 3. Kansas goes up 24-7 with a little over a minute remaining in the game. Miami gets the ball and following a desperate 4th down conversion, quickly moves down field, and scores what looks to be a meaningless TD with about 35 seconds remaining.(KU 24 MIA 14). Following kickoff the Miami player roars ahead to pick up the onside kick. Miami scores another TD after some deep passes and 2pt convert, now there are 7 seconds remaining (KU 24 MIA 22). 2nd onside kick fails. Kansas takes one snap and goes down to run out the final 2 seconds. It was too little too late for Miami after getting behind big, late in the game. The win clinches the #1 ranking for Kansas (5-3-1 Jeff) who stays ahead of #2 Clemson (5-3-1 Jeff), by virtue of Kansas 3 game unbeaten streak (tie, win win) to Clemson 2 game win streak (loss, win, win). This win gives the Kansas Jayhawks the 2010 Bill Walsh National Championship. Kansas 24 Miami 22 You can view the final standings here: www.homeiswhere.phpzilla.net/billwalshhome2010.htmAttachments:
