Does anyone know how to change them? I've renamed the teams, but I can't figure out how to change the uniform (and playcalling screen) colors.

Here are the addresses for the various teams in Joe Montana Football. Each address should be starting point of the team player roster. The colors precede this (they are before the roster). I still think I'm in a little over my head. Changing the names was easy because it could be done in the text box . Now that it's all hex stuff, it's a bit more confusing
Would you mind taking a team, say Chicago, and listing the exact addresses for each of its colors?

In hex code, you have 16 digits on a 16 bit computer processor. So it is number 0 to F. 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E,F , so a=10 F=15, etcs. Zero is a value and so there are 16 values.
Colors are always listed as 3 digits preceded by a zero. BLUE-GREEN-RED, 0BGR, so a zero, a digit for blue, high number is bright blue, low number is less blue. So 0F00 would be bright blue, 00F0 would be bright green, 000F would be bright red. Then you mix them from there.
Chicago is listed at ADA4, which is the first line of PLAYER stats. The numbers above are colors, about 12 of them. So look above you will see 00 00 CB 97, the colors are above this data, you will see numbers listed like 0XXX 0XXX 0XXX, a zero, then 3 numbers behind it, which are the colors.
The colors run from address AD88 through AD9F

Super. Thanks for the help.
I think I must be using your files as a base (I probably downloaded them over five years ago), but I wanted to mess around with having the scouting reports listing real players and the teams being in alphabetical order.
The only problem is that after modifying, the scouting report for the second team in the main menu is always replaced by one another team's report. Also, when the main menu is in alphabetical order, some of the best teams might end up being the worst teams (since I don't know where the team attributes data is).
But overall I have a pretty good idea what I'm doing now.

Madden91 and Montana1 football players do not have jersey numbers. These values are the same in Montana1/Madden91/92/93/94/BW 36 2B C4 59 ^- 36 would be the jersey number in madden92/93/94/bw. So if you cut and paste a player from Madden92 into Joe Montana it would work fine, and the extra data from the jersey would be no problem.
