I hate the college football overtime. Nothing but a big gimmick. What it actually does is outlaw ties in college football. An overtime format that allows ties would be the best.
What ties do, is further screw up the polls and make it harder for those BCS crooks to give us a "championship game" at the end of the year.
Why not just give each team one possession each. That way if the first team goes down and gets 7 points, the next team has to get a touchdown, and then make the decision to go for a 1pt convert and the tie, or the 2pt convert and the win.
Overtime has taken that element out of the game, coaches don't have to make that hard decision anymore, they just kick for the tie and overtime at the end of the game.
