WOW WHAT A DAY.
Jeff is currently suffering from Mega-Crow Chokeitis as his boggled mind tries to figure out how COACH JOHN UTTERLY AND COMPLETELY DESTROYED HIS LIVING.
GAME 1: WASH91 VS KANSAS
Wash91 scored first, then returned a fumble for a td for a quick 14-0 lead. It would be extnded to 21-7 before jeff got a td with 0:04 in the first half to make it 21-14.
Jeff had the momentum and the ball, down just 21-17 with 4 to go when his wr fumbled and Wash got the ball, and would score on a next play deep pass. Wash scored one more time to finish it off.
Kansas lost 35-17 despite forcing 6 turnovers to only 3 of their own.
GAME 2: MIGHTY TEXAS VS TAMU
Jeff said this would be the worst revenge-stomp in earth history.
That lasted for about 20 seconds as TAMU returned the opening kickoff to the Texas 11, then scored a td on the next play. TAMU would go up 10-0 when Texas made its move.
Texas threw a fade to its speedy rb who took it 70 yds for a td, then after a TAMU turnover, Texas scored to make it 14-10 at half and it looked like Texas would just take the game over.
But John's Aggies played incredible D, refusing to let Texas sniff the redzone. The Aggies then capped an amazing drive with a td and the shocked Horns trailed 17-14 with 4 to go.
3 more times the Horns had the ball, needing just a FG, but 3 times the Aggies completely shut them down. TExas best chance came with 45 seconds left and 3rd and 10 at the Aggy 26. However, they were sacked making it 4th and 20 where their pass was batted down as TAMU stunned the undefeated Longhorns 17-14 and extended their unbeaten streak to 8 games. (The record is 10 by Texas in 93 for consecutive overral games without a loss)
GAME 3: UNC COMEBACK VS CLEMSON
Jeff figured..."ok, wash91 is better than kansas, and tamu just played awesome to upset texas. but unc is the worst team and clemson is one of the best and theres no miracles john can possibly pull to even stay wiuthin 2 td in this game"
Early on UNC held strong, and it was 3-3 after the 1st.
In the 2nd Clemson dominated, getting a big long td, then adding a fg for a 13-3 halftime lead, and they figured it was over for the sorry tar heelz.
IN the 3rd everything changed. UNC changed the game on 2 consecutive plays. First a 55 yd td made it 13-10. Clemson's 1st play the rb fumbles anbd UNC returns it for a td, just like that 17-13 HEELS.
After that the Clemson offense just was stomped back to kindergarten. UNC added a FG to win it 20-13 by shutting out the Tigers for the entire 2nd half.
