2 conf winners take bowl spot
Teams 8 & 9 play tie breaker (if same owner/higher would advance) next 8 teams take wild card playoff spot with same owner teams automatically paired (highest to lowest, higher advancing)
(A) 2 Bowl Game Scenario If no owner has more than 2 teams in final 6 remaining teams, the four wild card teams will play each other according to ranking (if any same owner matchups occur higher ranked advances). And the two winners will go to one of the two bowl games.
(B) 3 Bowl Game scenario In final 6 teams if at least one owner has 3 teams in, there will be three bowl games.
No same owner matchups in bowls. Big West Champion hosts Orange Bowl. Highest ranked team in national standings plays lowest ranked team possible.
After the three bowl games, top two teams play national title game*
*The only exceptions are if one coach has the 2 highest ranked teams, or if all three bowl winners are different coaches, in which case a semifinal game with # 2 & 3 will occur.
Only Bowl games count towards "win streak" tie breaker in national rankings (not wild card or semifinal games).

The playoff format is going to remain the same even with Tony quitting, so every team still is in the running for the playoffs.
