LSU's defense once again shut down their opponents, only this time, the LSU offense didnt blow the game.
LSU jumped out to a 14-0 lead over the Horns, and after stopping Texas for the 3 time to open the game, had a chance to put it away.
However, typically, they fumbled and Texas got the ball at the LSU 30 and scored 2 plays later.
LSU added a td before the half for a 21-7 lead.
LSU got the 2nd half kickoff and marched 3 minutes and kicked a 22 yard FG for a 24-7 lead. Could they possibly blow it? Inability to put away Mich had coast them in week 1.
Texas drove, but was stopped and kicked a 33 yd FG, 24-10.
LSU fumbled the kickoff and Texas returned it for a TD, 24-17.
LSU then went on a drive that took the last minute of the 3rd quarter and 4 min of the 4th quarter, getting 7 huge first downs in a row, then scored a td.
LSU 31, Texas 17
