Welcome back you all you Valued DYNASTIES’ readers, with the season running down and the high demand for more Coach interviews, we are busy down here but will try doing 2 a week. Today we have none other than Coach John. Here we go!
-How long have u been playing Bill Walsh?
Coach John: I never had bw94...only bw95....played bw95 off and on but never could play against actual people, so I played with myself a lot. I started playing online when Josh found me and I joined his league. Then I met Jeff, and have gone from there.
-What do you do to get pumped up before a game?
Coach John: I get my printouts of each teams roster in order, focus on my game plan and my opponents weaknesses, and try to visualize the massive ass kicking that I am going to deliver. When I play Pitt, no pumping up is needed. They infuriate me.
-If you weren’t a player in the Bill Walsh league, what would you be doing?
Coach John: I need to play more basketball. My 3-pt shot is suffering. In fact there is talk that I’m being downgraded from Kyle Korver to Chris Dudley, so its tough.
-Who is the last coach you would want to face in the championship game? Why?
Coach John: No brainer. Mike. I’m 3-9 vs. him in 2 seasons. Technically, I’m his slave. It’s no fun.
-Whose coaching style do you admire the most?
Coach John: Coach Aaron’s style. I’ve met my match in the race for top innovator. It’s his first season but he has totally changed the way offenses are run in this league in a very short amount of time.
-If you could take one skill from every coach and add it to your game to make yourself the Super Coach, what would they be?
Coach John: Oh boy!!
-Jeff: His QB play...he can take the crappiest Q alive and somehow make it work.
-Brett: His smack talk....definitely
-Josh: His clutch-ness in the final drive
-Mike: His luck....they need to write a novel called the Luck of the Mike-rish
-Pat: Effective use of the shotgun, since I suck at it
-Tony: His WR control abilities
-Aaron: His play calling and innovation, hands down
-John: My blitzing ability
If you could change anything about the league what would it be?
Coach John: A ban on Pitt. I just beat Tony's Miami92 using Pitt 54-15...It wasn’t even fair...10 sacks, 3 INT and a 39-0 run in the 2nd half....It was a disgrace and Pitt is all superman players. It’s comparable to someone using Miami in NCAA 2003.
-What coach has taught you the most from being in this league?
Coach John: Mike maybe? His ownership of me has taught me a little humility even though I hate to admit it and he’s going to crack up when he reads this.
-If Miami 91 cant win the title who would you like to see win it? Besides your teams.
Coach John: Either Miami92 or Georgia.... Miami92 cuz I gotta represent my "other" boys and Georgia because they are still viewed as an underdog and it'd be great if they faced and defeated Pitt80. That would make my life complete.
-Do you think Mike is online more than you are offline?
Coach John: I leave AIM on whether I’m here or not, but probably
-If you were forced to hang out with 1 coach in the league for a weekend who would it have to be?
Coach John: I’ve already hung out with Jeff a little so he’s DQ'd from this question.... But I'd say Brett cuz we’re the same age and like to do the same kinds of stuff. Plus he'd want none of me in ncaa 2003. It'd be over in 1 Quarter!
-Which coach, beside yourself, do you still see playing in a Bill Walsh league when he is 40?
Coach John: Brett. In fact we'll probably still be playing each other every single night. He needs to be owned until he dies.
Editor’s note: Coach Brett is undefeated against Coach John.
-OK John, Thank You, you are now off the DYNASTIES HOT SEAT!
Coach John: I think I need a cold water bucket, IM STEAMIN’!
