Hi. I'm new guy here. My favorite version is Madden' 97 for sega genesis. I would like play with CFL teams in this 97 version. Can you guys hack Madden' 97? And make Madden CFL?
Great roms here. Thank you!

I have never hacked anything past Madden94/Bill Walsh. The quality of the Madden series really went down hill with Madden94 and Bill Walsh, and from Madden95/Bill Walsh 95 on, it fell off the map.
Doing a Madden94 rom is a possibility if I can find where the colors are hidden in the hex code, it seems they may be in a compressed portion.
As of now, there is a CFL Madden rom, CFL Madden92 rom, and a Bill Walsh CFL rom. When I am feeling better I want to tidy them up, and re-release them with the ratings.
As far as Madden97/98, they seem to be an improvement over Madden96.

Madden 97 has classic teams from the past, but with rosters without names... just numbers. Regular teams hve numbers and names. Could you put names in the classic teams? Is that easy?
Thanks for the roms. They are great!

I have not looked at the Madden97 hex code. As for the player names, that is a lot more work to type out 40 names for each team, times -x- 32 teams or more. If it was a quality game, it would be different. Having season or fancy playoff modes, and bells and whistles are nice, but none of the Madden sequels play better than the original Genesis Madden. Madden 92 and 93 have a lot of upsides to them, and Madden94 and Bill Walsh are still playable.
One plus to editing Madden(91) is that you do not have to even list a players jersey number, which makes it much easier, since it is that much less work and research. If you know what jersey number your favorite players wear, you already know what position they play, so a player jersey number is only redundant information anyway.
Maybe one day I will look at Madden97, when I catch up with my other projects.
