After San Diego took the opening kickoff to the house, Minnesota and Coach Aaron were furious and went on to score 3 unanswered TD's to take a 21-7 lead after the first quarter.
Coach Brett decided to get back to the basics and pounded LT for 14 straight runs and used 4 and half minutes of the clock. He had the drive end on a TD pass to Gates on a play-action to LT that Coach Aaron bit on badly. Minnesota up 21-14 at half.
The 3rd quarter is one to forget for Coach Aaron as Coach Brett's defense led by Shawn Merriman forced 4 turnovers (2 fumbles and 2 Ints) and all turned into points for San Diego as took a commanding 38-21 lead into the 4th.
In the 4th, CPU assistance kicked in badly as all of San Diego's players were now slower than erosion. Coach Aaron had a hey-day scoring at will in the 4th and forced 3 straight San Diego punts and reclaimed a 42-38 lead with 45 secs remaining in the game.
Finally, San Diego's players came out of their comas and realized they had a chance to still win and moved the ball into Minnesota territory. With 8 seconds left we will take you through the final play at the Minnesota 42....
Rivers takes the snap, rolls right looking to throw but everyone was covered...then rolls back to the left looking for a someone downfield as the game clock expires. Rivers is under heavy pressure as Coach Aaron continuously misses tackles in the backfield diving at will. At this point Rivers decides he is going to win this game on his own so he tucks the ball and looks up field for daylight...he get a few good blocks and dodges some Viking defenders as he crosses the 30...then he is head on with EJ Henderson at the 25 and gets planted. Game Over.
Good game Aaron
