This game could have turned into a blowout real quick. Pitt up 7-0 took a deep pass to the Kansas goaline. Jayhawks made a nice goaline stand to stay in it.
Kansas built a 24-14 lead over Pitt80.
Late in the 4th quarter Pitt down by 4, only 1:15 remaining, and with no timeouts, they drove to the Kansas 25. After 2 incomplete passes, no timeouts and 9 seconds left, it was looking grim. Then on 3rd and 10 from the 25, boom Marino connects with the Pitt WR on the 3 yard line and he runs in for the winning score with only 2 seconds to spare.
